I have lucked (maybe/maybe not) into a Colt 1903 Hammerless Auto, no barrel. Before buying a used barrel I was thinking, (bad idea) why not have one made and fitted to the old Colt, build around 1921. Having the chamber cut to the longest round that will feed in the 3 magazines that came with it. New Wolff springs are in the mail. I don't know any one that can do this right. Internet not very helpful as most don't do anything in the .32 ACP/7.65×17mmSR Browning or 7.65 mm Browning Short. If it was just making the barrel I can found dozens that can do that but making and fitting is the hard part as I want both done by the same person. I only load and shoot .313 lead either LRN or LRNFP between 69 gr to 82 gr in my .32's. I load from where the slide just functions always to about 1100-1200 FPS. My other 2 Colts and a Beretta 1935 all work well with the loads at .945" but would like to go with just a little heavy bullet in the new Colt, 85 gr to 100.

Who would you recommend doing the work I would like done. I know it can cost but my enjoyment is worth the cost to me.

Why don't you just buy a new factory replacement barrel from Brownell's?

https://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/barrel-parts/barrels/colt-1903-barrel-32-acp-prod104838.aspx

I shoot 95 grain cast or 93-grain FMJ bullets in my 1920 Colt.

From Brownell's one review it sounds like the barrels are production rejects. Works but not nice to look at.

Brownell's is not the sole source. You can order direct from the manufacturer.

The barrel is inside the slide and you cannot see it!

The US Armament barrels are roll-marked with their company name to distinguish them from original Colt manufacture barrels, something which the collectors among us appreciate.

My US armament barrel works great in my 1903.
