Does anyone have a bullet design or mold that is useful in both the Bee and the Hornet? Pretty much exclusively used on ground squirrels and other small game up to coyote. Thank you!

I use a Cast Bullet Engineering 42 gn gas checked mould in both 22 Hornet and 218 Bee.

I've used Lyman #225438 in my Bee for years. Very accurate, and when I drill a hollow point in it, expands very well on ground hogs. No reason it wouldn't do the same in a Hornet.

I have a boolit mold of this design or at least looks and measures the same in an 8 cavity BRP mold it shoots great in all my families and friends Hornets/K-Hornets and Bee's. It is now available from Arsenal. Several coyotes have not enjoyed this boolit at all.

I have 2 Lyman 22 caliber molds.
225415 and 225438.
I found that I have to push the 55gr 225415 pretty hard to get it to stabilize in my slow twist 22 Hornet and 218 Bee.
The 225438 is the better choice for either caliber as it will stabilize at lower velocities....dale

+1 on the 225415. It is my go to mold for all my 22's except the 22 savage.

I love the ol LEE Bator Mold for mine!! 50g IIRC and gas checked. Shoots great powder coated and cast soft.

That old style Bator is a good one if you can find one.

I like NOE's 45 grain WFN design. All I shoot with it is low velocity stuff, so my mold is all plain based.

Does anyone have a non- gas checked version?

I've got both GC and PB versions of the 225107 molds. I use them in the ladybug and hornet

Thank you to all!!! I aquired a 225438 and shot the first loads yesterday through a 22 Hornet with fair results. I'll post some better test results as I go!!!

NOE has a 37gr mold that is similar to the Lyman 225438 and it can be had with plain base, I have one.
I also like the old style Lee Bator, at 48 to 51 gr and using a GC, they can be pushed pretty hard.
