I have no idea what makes foxes so proud of their turds but they are. In the old house that occupied this spot I would get occasional "presents" in a prominent place on the redwood deck. The new house entrance is framed with granite boulders. I looked out this morning to find a new "present" perched impossibly on one of the rocks. He/she must have worked at that. Since my bear poo pix went over so well last time .....

In the wild, poo is and has its own language.

If it's true what they say about some people out there----
Do ya think maybe it isn't a fox at all, but a neighbor trying to tell you something?:bigsmyl2:

I don't know about the poo but a Fox is a pretty animal. I envy you all of the wildlife you post about.

I don't know about the poo but a Fox is a pretty animal. I envy you all of the wildlife you post about.

Right now the Quail are the biggest threat. 30 of them will lie in wait above and below the house for when I feed the birds. They move in, crowd the other birds and 3 chipmunks out, 20 seconds later the food is gone but they will peck for another 5 minutes to make sure they didn't miss a seed.

Seems like a lean Winter for some reason. Usually about this time there are enough bugs and such and my food becomes as appealing to the birds as a lunch truck after the first few months. Now the birds hang around waiting and fly at the windows if I don't put food out.

I was visited regularly by a raccoon, who thought it was a good idea to leave his calling cards on the mat at my front door. He found out what I thought about that.

They do that to mark territory. Hidden wouldn’t tell another fox that this is MY HOUSE!

Foxes and Bobcats have moved to the suburbs where living is easy and they dont get shot. We still have coyotes in the country, though.

Well if there is no toilet paper for it . . . if I were you, I'd set up a "bidet" for it . . . you could tell everybody it's a new kind of garden fountain! Actually . . . I think it's kind of neat . . . you're getting presents and it isn't even Christmas!

Some enterprising coyote strong pawed the fox and made off with the fox’s stash of TP

I was also thinking a hot GF was in the offing as well, but they are almost always “high maintenance” where as a turd just sits there until somebody decides it needs to be somewhere else!

Poop Question.....what does snake poop look like...I never see any ?

With snakes you get a mixture of things since they only have one exit hole (cloaca) for elimination.

Sometimes they pass Urates, sometimes poo, sometimes bile, sometimes urine, sometimes musk, and then they can pass any combination.

Because humans and other mammals drink water throughout the day our Urates are passed as uric acid in liquid form. Snakes pass them as a solid mass of white. Similar to a bird. Depending upon the water uptake, the Urates can come out as a white goo, semi solid, or even hard white turds. Sometimes yellow blobs accompanies the Urates or it may be mixed in to give the Urates a hint of yellow. Sometimes the same goes for green or brown bile blobs.

The poo looks like poo. Again, hard or soft. Usually it is a solid turd if the reptile is in good health. The size of poo is dependent of the size of the snake. Some snakes poo size look very similar to a med to large dog’s, but not coiled in a circle.

Snakes less than 8-9 months old pass very little wastes because their developing bodies use almost all of their food for growth.

These are just a few quick generalizations.

My favorite book from Arizona is who pooped in the desert? A lot of people must get confused if they read it after I am out in the middle of the desert calling coyotes and can’t hold it any more.
