Additionally, Miha usually gives 2-3 sets of different pins with each set of molds, so 72 x 3 is 216. PLUS all the molds in the 65g GB are using the same cherry, so thats another 300+ pins, these two GB's are 500+ pins that are shaped to a very exact size, imagine running your lathe all day for those archange.....


I've never needed a lathe to make guide pins unless they were an odd size, that aspect of them not be changed and there was no round stock available.
I just go someplace like McMaster Carr and order some hardened round stock (tool steel, drill rod, or whatever fits the bill) of the size needed and cut them to length.
If there are 18 molds on this order so far, that's only 36 pins.


They are not guide pins, they are the HP pins. So that is 72 pins (24*3) that have to be shaped, drilled & Tapped.

Update for everyone from Miha:

The CNC lathe to make all the pins is now on the ocean, expecting arrival at his shop of 28JAN22. This means that sometime in Feb he'll begin making all the pins. So stay tuned HP molds will start flowing again!

I dont have any update at the moment on the GB's. If you are interested in the 65g, then make a post on that one and put all the details in it.

I didn't know if it matters, but my+handles on number 18 in the 8cav mold list is not bolded. Just thought I'd mention this in the .005% chance it would mean I didn't get handles.

I figure none of us were promised a set delivery date, and we all joined this group buy knowing that. So while I don't like waiting, I have enough other molds to keep me busy and entertained until this one gets made.

I have suspected , because of the shortages of all things pertaining to reloading, that Miha has been overloaded. But if nothing is shipping, maybe he is still having trouble with HP pins. Just trying to offer possibilities. I got my mold in this version 1st time around so have no part in this GB. Sorry if I have muddied the water.
