Now John, everybody knows that the .44-40 is totally outdated, obsolete and can't shoot more'n 100 feet. You have to have the latest .300 TOTALLYCRUSHING MAGNUM or you just ain't cool!

Fine Shooting ! I have not shot my 1892 44-40 with much BLACK here. I still have some Unique from shotshells I am using and my combination works so well I just leave things be. But with BLACK in the case I was never concerned about a boolit getting pushed deeper into a case while riding a full magazine. I have an origonal Winny "200" grain mold here but I use a Saeco #443 more often.
