IBC totes bullet catcher

Been thinking of using the IBC totes. Cut a hole in the bottom with chicken wire to hold back the rubber mulch and let lead drop in bucket. Picked up some 1/4" self healing mats to line front and back of totes before filling with mulch. Gonna put bales of hay in front. All of this is in front of a dirt backstop. This setup would be for primarily pistol calibers for 25' range. Still thinking about what to do for rifle. Think it will work?

How would bullets get through mulch and into the bin below?

Figure gravity over time. After a few years of changes in weather, etc, my hope 3as the lead would drop naturally to the bottom. Would be a lot easier than berm mining or easier than trying to find metal to make a trap.
