A church member (a lady) commented to me that the trigger on a recently purchased S&W .38 spec. 5 shot hammerless revolver was difficult to pull. I told her that possibly a weaker main spring & polishing some of the interior parts would help. I was expecting the normal J frame, but was surprised when I opened the box.
1. The cylinder release is on the top rather than the L. side.
2. There is no removable right side plate: it looks like the entire grip frame is removable.
3. No 3 slotted screws on the R side: several allen type screws & most go completely through the frame.
In my opinion the trigger was perfect & was easy to stage (pre-time). I was really impressed & wonder if all of them have this trigger quality.
I returned it to the owner without loosening a screw & gave her a pre-timing practice drill. Has anyone had any experience with the BG38 & if so, their opinion of the trigger.
