If I put the 1-c & 2-c moulds into the oven far enough to stay there, often times the handles would heat too much, even scorch the wood.
One day I see this old heavy duty bucket bail in my junk stuff & the light came on in my head...'mould handle support'...why not?

Neat idea! My hot plate sits on the table so I looked through the scrap pile and found a piece of square tubing the right size. I think its 2-1/2 inches, way heavier than necessary but it works.

If ya stick to heavy 4 cavity and bigger molds, you don't need a handicap rail but that sure is a nice one.

Cool mold guide too!

Nice!
I also like the weighted handle on the Lee pot.

My eight cavity aluminum molds still tip over, but that's probably because they all have the cammed sprue plate handle. So far I'm just propping them up with a length of 2 X 4, but that sure looks like a good fix there, OS OK.

I added a weight sorta like that on my pot. I tinker old motorcycles. I had some tranny gears setting near by. One had a smooth inner diameter with a keyway in it. I set that down on a flat piece of steel and poured it full of lead. Once cooled It popped right out of the gear. Took the knob off the pot and got a drill bit just a bit larger than the threaded rod sticking out and drill a hole through my new weight. Slipped the weight on, put the knob back on.
This does help keep the dripping down.
I still need to get some valve grinding compound on end of the rod and where it seats in the spout to clean up any burrs, crud and get the rod and seat to match closer. This should help the dripping too.
