What is a good mold for this off the shelf? I am in on the group buy for the 45 gov profile but am getting in a hurry to cast.

A low cost version that duplicates the government ogive profile is the Lee 230-2R.

Lyman's 452374 is an alltime classic. Also proper profile.

They should also have the handles. Check the bottom of the page with the mould listings of bullet type.

That seems to be happening a lot with Midway lately. My last several orders had to be backordered or revised due to at least one item. On some orders it was more than one item.

I wouldn't be in a hurry if I were you. Cool your heels and wait a little bit.

Try Midsouth Shooters Supply. Excellent outfit, great prices.

The 452374 is the best shape match cast boolit for the factory
ball nose shape, IMHO. Not sure that it is a big deal, other rounded
shapes seem to work fine.

Nearly all of the suppliers have been back ordered due to the extreme demand placed on most any reloading supplies and bullet casting tools. The high prices have driven LOTS of people to reloading, again... (I never left:mrgreen:).
