Been awhile since I bought cast bullets

Ive bought from Silverstate bullets( looks like they are out of stock), X-treme(out), and Magmus

I need to stock up on .45 colt 250-255 grn keith, swc and rnf .....

1. What bullet maker is good for .45 colt bullets at a good price now days?

This is for SA revolver... And Ive not used the coated type bullet yet....

2.Is the coated the way to go now days to reduce lead built up in the barrel?

I agree with the others on Missouri Bullet, but I'm not sure if you can get the "Keith" bullet from them.

Why not cast them at home? That’s the best part!

The only cast boolits I ever bought we for 45 ACP before my mold arrived. I didn’t get a 45 Colt mold until I bought a carbine chambered as such, and the Lee 452-55 RF is a good one for me. Someone on here might send you some boolits if you send them some alloy as we can’t sell without the stupid ITAR fee. Ask around, you might find someone in your town who is on here and old work with you.

Thanks Guys , Good sources.

So with the coated bullets, no lube in the lube groove is needed, because the coating is a lube?

So refresh my memory, Brinell number: the higher the number the harder the bullet? Like a 18 is harder bullet than a 16?

That is correct.

Correct PC bullets don’t need any other lube than the PC itself.

I have had great service from SNS casting they have a pretty good selection and summers enterprises really good prices . The quality from both is kinda typical for economy commercial cast but they are great for general range fun and both have provided good service.

Here's the guy that I buy all of mine from. Getting prepared to do my own casting, but not quite there yet. http://gardnerscache.com/45c_250_lrnfp.html
