I have a FA 454 that I love. I just looked at my ammo supply. I have over 2000 rounds, I'm good on ammo. But in looking through my crap, I found a Freedom Arms Lyman 454 629 AW mold. I'm kinda guessing it might be a nice mold, I cast 1000 bullets yesterday. Lol. Where would be a good place to find a FA owner? That reloads. Casts etc. Thoughts?

Sounds like you found one in the mirror.

I have that mold, mine comes out at 308gr checked and lubed with ww lead. I used reloading data from the lyman 4th cast bullet handbook for the 300gr. Do a search here for the 454629 there are a number of posts on this mold. Good luck and welcome to the forum. There a lot to be learned here

Like Contender, I've got one, cast for it, load for it, and shoot it. Are you new to the FA, or been at it a while?

As light as I go is 14 grains of HS6 with a 280-300 grain cast. When I want to go lower, I'll put the 45 Colt cylinder in (even then I don't load very light).

That mold and Lyman 454647 were designed by Dick Casull. I'm sure there will be people lining up to buy that mold if you decide to sell it. I just recently shot that bullet with 30.5 and 31.0 grains of 296 in my 10 Inch Model 83. Use this load at your own risk!
