Bzzt,
welcome to the forum.

That's a good question, maybe send a private message to Gunload Master.

I can help someone learn how to get going with Crypto, coinbase isn't too tough.

Any decent exchange account and a Coinbase account (or the like) would do it, the hard part at first is being overwhelmed!

Crypto has always sounded fishy to me, just like the couple of posts from folks with only one or two posts. Maybe just getting to old but maybe not.

I've met some very nice folks helping code on a crypto project, there are sketchy people and good folks everywhere, the trick can be telling which is which. Doable though :)

I have been mining crypto for quite some time. I could probably send some for a donation as well

What is wrong with good Ol' American dollars?! They have always worked for me and don't require huge amounts of energy to "mine".

Different ctyptos vary on energy needed, for example "proof of stake" cryptos you mine by buying some and then get more like interest on a savings account.

If that is where someone has their investment it could just be easier for them to send a donation than to send dollars, was the OP's point, I believe.
