I have a new NOE mold which is .452 234 RN HTC which of course has no lube grooves. I am coating the boolits with Hi Tek, two coats seems to be adequate, the question is when using Clays which listed load should I follow for a cast boolit? I’m fact the NOE mold, brass, is throwing a 223 gn boolit using reclaimed range lead with a hardness of around 13 Bhn with water quenching after they come out of the oven. My Lyman book does not contain the date for this combination
Your advice is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Barry

Use the data for 230 LRN from the Hodgdon site. 3.5 gr to start 4.0 as a max.

I use the 3.5 gr Clays for every lead .45 ACP boolit from 185 gr to 230 gr.

Like Burnt Fingers I use one powder charge for all of my .45's although I use 3.7 grains.
