Nobel Vectan powder

Got my order of AS and A1 today ordered 4 of each, ended up $17 a #. Strange color A1 green AS green and orange flake (small) ran off the load Manuel on Graf's site. Will load when it warms up.

It’s good stuff I use A1 in my 9mm for 850fps 158gr loads and as in light weight rifle loads

If anyone orders powder from Grafs, try some Vectan AO, I've been using 12.5gr and .311299 bullet in an 03A3 and it is very accurate.

French load data isn’t cool. They don’t like to put the OAL in it.

I use BA 9 and BA 10. I especially like the BA 10 in the 45 acp. 3.7 gr with 230 gr cast. Very clean, and makes IPSC major power factor. I agree the load data provided by Nobel Sport Vectan is pretty crappy. Not much supporting data, such as OAL, primer, case, barrel length, etc. I think the data listed, might be a little on the conservative side. I have not yet found any outside published data, outside of the Lee manual, which I believe is just some reprinted Vectan data.

I found that BA-9 is pretty close to Unique. I find that 13-15 grains in old military calibers is great up to 100 yards.

BA 6.5 is close to Winchester 296 powder though it seems to take up more of the case. I have used it in 30 Carbine and 300 Blackout.

TU3000 is basically the French Version of H4895. I have had great luck replicating 30-06 Ball M-2 with it for the Garand.

My experience with TU3000 is it’s like H332 and Tu5000 is like 4895

I've been using more and more Vectan as well. A0 and GM3 at first but I got some other ones last time that I havent tried yet. Very good price, measures well and it burns clean no issues yet and you cant beat the price. I think I got GM3 for $15/1.1lbs and A0 for $17/1.1lbs and you cant beat that.

Shooters World powder is pretty good too if you cant find a good deal.

I just picked up 4# of TU3000 from a friend who panic bought it thinking it was pistol powder.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I was watching it because of the price, but was worried it might be a tad fast for Garand and M14. If the supply comes back and it stays significantly less expensive than the near monopolistic Hodgden brands and VV powders, Vectan will top my list.

I picked up some T3000 and A1 last Nov.

Worked up some .223 loads using the T3000 with 55gr FMJ and it worked well, but probably won't be my primary choice.

Haven't tried the A1 yet.

I think the Vectan powders are vastly underrated. Ive loaded a ton of 9MM using Vectan Prima V for USPSA shooting. Its a wierd looking powder with different size powder grains. Soft recoil, clean burning and accurate, it reminds me of VihtaVuori N320, but one-quarter the price. I bought cases of the 1.1lb powder jugs just before the the practical shooters really jumped on it and drove the price up a bit. The only negative was that the velocity changed a bit from lot to lot and some reports of "stratification" in powder hoppers of progressive presses. I have no problems with it in a Dillon Super 1050. Like everything else, its probably made of unobtainium right now. Im still loading from my original bulk order from Grafs (probably a lifetime supply). I have no experience with the other Vectan powders.

This load is stunningly accurate in my CZ:
Projectile: The Blue Bullets coated 147gr (actually 150gr) Round Nose sized .356
Powder: Vectan Prima V - 3.1gr
Primer: Fed Small Pistol
Crimp: 0.379
OAL: 1.09
Velocity: 887 - using a CZ SP01 Shadow

I received a full jug of the Vectan SP2 from an ex competition shooter. I found the load data online and loaded some 125 grain coated TCs for my 9mm and they shoot good. I'm not a competition shooter but this powder won't go to waste. Started at 6.1 grains yesterday, now up to 6.4 Forgot chrony at home so don't know the speed but had avg 3" - 4" groups at 25yards out of my gen 2 glock 17.

125 gr coated TC
OAL 1.125 works in my glock just fine
6.4 grains SP2 powder
No chrono reading yet
Brass looks fine and decently clean compared to other powders I have

Just taking my time with this powder cause I have zero experience with it.
Lots of old write ups in the competition forums on web but they loaded hotter but I'm experimenting with oal
