I have read that the 6.5 CM has a long narrow throat so the long jacketed bullets can run at high pressures but still prevent some wobble before the bullet gets to the rifling. Sort of like Weatherby magnums with the long throat.

How does the 6.5 work as a cast boolit cartridge?

Reading about SEE and eroded long throats got me wondering too about the CM.

Any thoughts?

Was drooling over a Kimber ultralight rifle for backcountry hunts and the deer can sometimes be spotted far off, I am looking at something with less kick than my 06, I like a bit of cast shooting for practice without barrel wear and for small game when deer hunting.

Probably got an 8 twist barrel too.

I don't know your twist, but the Creedmore and the Swede test out at the same speed. If you have a fast twist, there will be velocity limitations.
