Just something Ken came up with - he thought it looked like the art painted on the nose of bombers.

My father was lead navigator and bombardier for his squadron of B29's. He described nose art for his SuperFort, the "Big Fat Momma", that pretty much matches the CB logo. Pretty common, apparently, and maybe not so suprising for bunches of single twenty something year old men in a war zone.

I like the WW2 nose art analogy.

While I would prefer a well-endowed nymph be adorned with a well shaped pair of "44s" I also appreciate that this is a G-rated, family friendly forum and I would not want our wives, daughters and significant others to be offended, even if it was intended in good gun fun.

Every time I see the logo I think of my attorney. Every time I saw her I'd think of the logo. Dang logo anyway.

I don't know who she is but it does remind me of WW2 Nose art. Personally I think its about perfect. Sexy but not offensive.

If you would like a really cool Tee shirt with some really cool cast boolits logo's just scroll down to the very bottom of the this page and click on the lady where it says "T-Shirts available now " it's just above the big word Cabela's bargin cave .
There are about 9 different styles men's shirts , not all have "the Lady" on them . I'm going to order a T-shirt with the lady on the back and a cool cast boolits and mould logo on the front.
The hard part is picking a color ... I wonder if the wife needs anything ?

I have a book about WW2 Nose Art that is interesting. Some of it is about what you would expect from a bunch of 20 something year olds that didn't ever expect to come home. Some of it shows a lot of thought and talent.

I simply love it for the art it is. Lots of things considered art- are most defininitly not.

The first question has been answered. “Boolits” is a term that distinguishes our hand poured monolithic lead based projectiles from mass produced copper shrouded projectiles for the commoners. Maybe I embellished a little.

I just watched a YouTube documentary of the P51 Mustang that showed the B-17 (not the SuperFort) and the flying terrors of the WW2 European Theater in our going to Berlin (520 miles), the last bit unescorted. Sadly, until the Rolls Merlin engine was coupled with the P51 frame for long range (600 mi.) escort/fighter duty, the "Flying Fortress" was the target of German fighter pilots waiting at the 375 mi. end of the Thunderbolt's escort range and sitting ducks to flak on the bombing run. Bravery, persistence, determination, and **** of steel (forgive the metaphor) were the metal of British and our American pilots. Thank God military pilots (in this instance) are uppity, aggressive, and maintain a superior attitude in order to push the limits for Freedom.

Thank your father for his service - from ALL of us, Vets, and General Public alike. We are grateful for men like him.

When I first seen the logo, is that of a WW 2 B-17 art.

She looks like a 1940s Ella Raines to me. She also looks like a 1940s version of my mother.

It’s great artwork. Really catches the spirit. I think the last time I looked, they didn’t have it on a black T shirt. That’s what I wanted. Think it will look really good.
