We pick this old song sometimes as a instrumental. A friend and I are always challenging each other with some hot lick we learned, so recently we have been picking this tune and changing keys each time we pick it. Sometimes we change to the 4th in the chord progression and sometimes we change to the 5th.

I have always loved Southern Gospel Music since I saw the first concert in the mid 60's. Laverne Tripp was singing in a group called the Sierras. Duward Yeargin, Bill Trammel Harold Bean and Tripp. Tripp went on to the Blue Rdge Quartet.
Saw during that time the Oak Ridge Boys who has Willy Winn, Duane Allen, William "Bill" Golden and Herman Harper. Saw the Blackwood Brothers and the Statesmen and the Oak Ridge Boys in Kingsport Tn Civic Auditorium brought in by CM Taylor.
Southern Gospel will ALWAYS be my first love in singing.
