Congratulations...on to Luke

Congratulations to the ones caught up on the...Reading the Bible...thread above in the stickies . You have finished the book of Mark . Today we begin the book of Luke .

In the introduction to Luke states his purpose in his thoughts . He guides us through the events of his account through prophesy fulfilled . The coming of John the baptist , the coming of messiah . The song of Mary . Elizabeth and Mary further understanding through each other . Pus more .

In the new testament we have read Matthew and Mark . It could be time to start looking for supporting scripture of the different books of the New Testament and linking it to prophesy of the old starting in Genesis .

We are seeing GOD's plan unfold in all of the new testament .

Every year, on the first Sunday of the new year, our congregation puts up a large multi- branched dead tree with a basket under it. In the basket are green paper leaves. When anyone reads a book of the Bible they write the book and their name on the green leaf and it's attached to the tree. This represents our growth in scriptural knowledge as a congregation as the dead tree comes back to "life" and is covered in green leaves.
I just thought you would like to know that your helping put leaves on a tree! :-D
