Gunsmithing Ruger's Redhawk?

This is an idle curiosity query. Has the rendering of S&W's "N" frame revolvers into more portable "Mountain Guns" by thinning shorter barrels and, perhaps, other skeletonizing occurred (by way of a gunsmith) on Ruger's Redhawk revolvers? I specifically do not mean chopping barrels shorter than four inches.

Check Hamilton Bowen. He has done many things on the Redhawks. I think he does lighten them. Beautiful work, fairly priced (expensive).
