I have an opportunity to purchase a Ponsness Warren ($50) or Pacific DL-110 ($30) shot shell press. Both are set up for 12 ga. Looks like the Pacific uses a charge and shot bushing (both missing) as opposed to the charge bar. I think the Ponsness is all there - not sure of the model probably from the 70s (?)... Might be able to talk down the Pacific. What would you guys recommend buying?

how much you going to reload If you spend 50 for press and then ? to get parts then bushings at $5 a pop it may not be worth it . I f you load same thing all the time maybe. If you want to change loads /ga then I would go MEC A little and different ga 650--- a lot 9000 rick

Ponsness Warren hands down, is a better deal. I have a newer PW and it turns out shells you can not tell from factory.

Are parts available for the Pacific? Manuals? Other than Ebay I mean. That would be the deciding factor for me. PW Is still going strong last I knew but some of the Pacific/ Hornady(?) stuff is discontinued

Hi Mark,
You never said what model the PW was? If it is a single stage PW 375 its a very good deal. PW has all the parts for that press and it's the best single stage shotshell press out there. If its an PW 800 you'd be stealing it!

Not sure on the model. Looks like a single stage.

PW for the money you quoted. I bought an 800b pregressive about 10 years ago and am very glad I did. We have two Hornady 366 oaders, several mecs, two pacifics, and a few others. The PW is my favorite. The only issue you could have is final taper die, the older ones may not have this feature. But if it is the 375 signle stage, you will have a very good tool and parts are available.

Pacific made great shot shell presses, second only to P+W. i HAVE A p+w 375 with a couple of heads and die sets, it works great. I also have a Pacific 366 in 12 guage, it is very nice, much nicer than any MEC, but a P+W 800 is even better. There is also a P+W 600, it is similar to the Pacific-Hornady 366.
