Im beginning to have fun with them its becoming a challenge to see how long I can keep them on the line. personal best is around 35 minutes. During this time they arnt bothering anyone else either. LOL. Ive also noticed once you start this the calls do drop off some LOL

We got so sick of those calls, sometimes a computer, that we got rid of our fixed phone. Not easy for us because we have to go outside to use the cells. A good trick is to ask them to wait a minute, then put the phone down. Supposedly, call centers can’t hang up before you do. Before someone comments, bought two antenna boosters and neither one worked.

My phone will call out over a homes wi-fi connection if no cell signal

I cancelled my landline for nuisance calls......Id hear it ringing from the yard,by the time I got up to the phone ,it would stop.....the call centres only ring 5 times, then stop.....Anyway , I dont carry round the mobile ,just leave it in the drawer,so I can find it..........everyone wants me available 24/7 .....I got a phone to suit me .....not the rest of humanity.........I say its for when I have a heart attack or get bit by a snake.

I unplug my landline except when I need to use it, people tell me that you can't stop these overseas callers as they tap into the telco via satellite or by hacking into the telco computers, I think that is a load of garbage if there is a way into somewhere there is always a way of stopping it.

I use the call blocking to stop the repeat callers but there is always a new scam every week seems like.

There are a few free apps that you can download that help but a few still get through. I just don't answer my phone unless it shows a name or ID. I miss a few calls but most of the important callers leave a message.

My wife decided it was time to cancel the land line when....we went two weeks before noticing the phone wasn't working !!!
Only salesmen and politicians called on it anymore so after 46 years of having that number ...
...she cut the cord ... (Sorry about the bad pun...it's Friday )
Now they call on the cell phones but I ignore them all...

We’ve made an interstate move to our retirement house and thought we would get a landline once we got settled. As time passed we realized that the solicitation calls had almost stopped and we no longer want a landline. Our carrier doesn’t have a good signal in our area so I enabled Wi-Fi Calling on the phones. Wi-Fi Calling works without any additional effort any time you’re connected to a Wi-Fi connection that your phone recognizes.

I got two texts from some idiot thinking I was a Bernie Sanders volunteer. Said I am a Trump supporter and would never vote for a socialist/communist. Took me off the list and apllogized. I rarely answer my phones if I don't recognize the number. Have found that doc office does not show his name as it is blocked so have to look at number.

I quit answering the phone years ago.

A few months ago, we had a air conditioner guy out.
While working, his phone rang. He said, "I gotta take this".

He knew it was a junk call. He started screaming and hollering, just cussing a blue streak--
"You think I'm going to give out my credit card to some soulless, low born, gutter ****, piece of **** ,,,,, from Nigeria"?
And on & on until they hung up

He hung up and started laughing.
He said, "I love getting those sales calls".

If you get too many sales / scam calls, look at NoMoRobo, it rejects 2/3 or 3/4 of the baloney calls to my landline. Rings once then hangs up on them.

I liked the way Bob and Tom handled a telemarketer. I miss this morning radio show.
