Anybody shooting this mold? I thought I had a 200yd. load worked out using 24 grs of 4895 and water quenching the ww bullets, starting to pickup a lot of sudden flyers. It could be me so I am going load up some more, but would appreciate any advice from others on this bullet. PS My bullets drop from the mold at .285+ and the barrel is a near new Douglas.

I use the original RCBS 28-168-FN in my 7x57 cast of COWWs +2% tin. I load it over 26 gr H4895 with a dacron filler. Bullet is lubed with 2500+ and GC'd with Hornady's. It runs right at 1850 fps with excellent accuracy.

I have had some similar issues with the Lyman 160 Sil. in my 7 TCU on 200M rams . My old load's using IMR4198 or 4759 accuracy was good . I then switched powder and started running RL 7 and started getting some wild stuff at 200 . The only thing that was changed was the powder and I think the RL7 is a bit slower and put the velocity on the bubble of being stabilized or not . Just my thoughts , I'm switching back to 4198 and see what happens.

Larry, How does that bullet shoot in the military 7mm's ?
I have a hard time getting any thing to shoot decent in them.
I have molds that drop bullets up to .270 diameter.
Thanks for any info.

That 29-168-FN shoot extremely well in my Chilean M95. Bullets cast of COWW + 2% tin drop right at .287 which fit fine in the .287 throat/groove diameter of the milsurp barrel.

I have one and it doesn't do as well as I'd like in my 7mm-08 or Rem 7mm Magnum.
