Anyone know a repair?

Possible weld up and re-cut but suspect such a repair, even if possible, is beyond the pay grade of all but the most skilled gunsmiths.

What make is the carbine? Is it WW II G.I. or after-war civilian?

Time to turn that one into a wall hanger.
Sorry, but the repair would be costly, and of very questionable as to reliability.

That's a surprise, cap'in. I thought for sure you'd say it was a Universal or National Ordnance. So, does it still work properly? You must have fired it in that condition before it got into that condition. How does the corresponding locking lug on the bolt look?

I doubt if I'd have it repaired.
You could weld it up, reshape it, but where it is damaged-
I'd be concerned about tempering, heat treat, that sort of thing.
