View Full Version : Anyone make a SAECO 130 copy?

I was given several hundred lubed and sized bullets by the son of a deceased gentleman who was a caster. I have been shooting them up for a little over a year. They were 185 grain flat base SWCs, the classic "bullseye" bullet. I believe the mold was a SAECO 130??

Does anyone make a modern copy in 5 or 6 cavity aluminum? I'm thinking like Mihec or HM2??

H&G 130 was the most common. Lyman had one as well, but rare. I have a Lyman in mint condition l can sell.

Thanks for the replies!

I appreciate the offer Martin, but I'm looking to get away from iron molds.

I think SAECO still makes the #130.

NOE makes a copy. It is his 453-198 SWC-AB2-42, and Al has 2 and 3 cavity molds in stock in aluminum and a 4 cavity brass.

Why don't you just go to Ebay and buy an H&G 130 and have the original mold. I think there are at least 2 for sale the last time I looked. H&G made a number of the 130's and they go for a very reasonable price. As long as it was properly cared for and you care for it, the mold will last longer than you will.
