I'm a big fan of low powered scopes. Looks so much better than a 3-9 with see through rings

That's going to be a great rig to use. I've drilled the side of some hammer gun's hammers, threaded the hole and screwed in a hammer extension. Those have never fallen off.

Well I had a senior moment yeah your right it’s Burley maple but not birch . Went to the range today had a bunch of different ammo laying around . Fun to shoot . Ordered new big loop lever , new trigger kit , and a new loading gate from Ranger Point Precision . Think I broke my fingers trying to load this thing she needed some up grades

Exactly! I put a Leupold VX-3 1-5x20 in low Burris rings on my 1967 Glenfield 30. Yes, a $400.00 scope on a $200.00 rifle and it has the accuracy to back it up.
