I have two, one is to get in better shape (realistic goal) and the other is to load up every piece of brass I own (yeah right!). They are pretty cliché, but I’d like to accomplish both.

I might stick to my normal, which is, to be fatter, lazier and harder to be around!

Yours?

I want to play with some alloys and work on pouring some hunting bullets. Also want to develop a good subsonic 300 blk load for my ar. And get a few car projects finished. But my big plan is to buy some property in Montana so I can get out of western Washington! We'll see how it all plays out...

To buy and pay for a new chevy duramax LTZ or high country truck. My daily driver is a 79 chevy C20 pickup and my other one mainly gets used to go to the range or run around town....an 88 Chevy K5 Blazer.

So far, I have around $32,000 set aside as a down payment but with the prevailing job I will start next week may be able to stay busy through June and possibly pay cash for the truck. With neck and back problems, the need to tow my toy hauler camping trailer and the need for better fuel mileage, combined with how far trucks have come, it is a great time to buy a new truck to last me another 10-20 years or more.

Me to! I try to do what I need to do and what is right and I found that most resolutions are short lived. I've made them about most of the normal stuff like loose weight, work out more, shoot more, ect.

I got up this morning to a new day, new month, new year, new decade. Then I looked out the window and it looks just like yesterday. Maybe I'll make a resolution to not look out the window?

I’d like to start out by killing a deer. As soon as I finish this granola bar and my second cup of coffee I’ll go look. I resolve to try to be pleasant to all as I continue the allotted time I’ve been given in this life. God Bless you All- Cheers to 20/20!

Lose most of my extra weight and get in shape for a long distance hike I’ve been wanting to do for years.

Reduce the amount of clutter in the basement and garage by 10%.

I want to spend a little more time on the water fishing this spring

First thing is to move my rifle and pistol reloading setup from the outdoor shop to my basement. It is getting too costly to heat the shop and it will be nice to be able to walk to the basement to load a few hundred rounds instead of bundling up and walking 50 yards.

Then, in the spring, extend my outdoor range to 200 yards. I have 65 yards of bush to clear to get that done.

Exercise more. Probably in the form of walking.
Play more golf. Last two years have been a drought.

My New Years Resolution is to keep my shots in the black.... Also less walking since my targets will have to be much closer.

I am already working on losing the weight. But I want to shoot more, and stop barely surviving. I may be in constant pain, but I want to start enjoying life a little. This pushing to find side jobs just to not lose things, eating the wrong foods for me from the food banks because I can not afford to buy groceries, and being unable to keep on bills, has all got to stop.

Hey OeldeWolf—
You’re gonna have some company in your state of affairs pretty soon.
The Federal Reserve has granted loans in excess of $500 billion to some big banks just in the last 3 months. They’re on the road to making Americans poor again.
Might just happen this year.

Why make a resolution when I'm not going to keep it?

Why make a resolution when I'm not going to keep it?

There is only one person responsible for this!

Not really resolutions, just moving the goalposts on last years (achieved) goals.

- run a 10k at 8:00/mile pace or faster
- run a 15k at sub-9:00 pace (will eventually become 8:00 or faster)
- increase 1RM for bench, squat, deadlift (will eventually taper this one off, but looking for incremental progression toward a long-term target)
- not really a goal, but in pursuit of the above, full/max participation Squatober and Deadcember (ie, getting in the gym every weekday I can for the workouts). I achieved that this year with good results, plan to rinse and repeat in pursuit of moving up the 1RM. If I hit the 1RM target early, try to make that weight become a 3RM or 5RM.
- improve capacity on certain workouts. I'm "good" where I am, I want to be better and have targets in mind.
- attend at least two training courses, one for shotgun, one for pistol; try to get to a KD Appleseed
- improve timing and accuracy on certain drills (Appleseed PQT, FAST test, Walkback drill)

I did most of that in 2019 (not necessarily meeting the above speed or weight targets). I'm going to do it in 2020, just (hopefully) better than I did last year.
