I just purchased a Saeco #081, .323/8mm Caliber, 190 Grain, any help would be appreciated. I have been using 18 grain's of 2400 in my 7.62x54, 303 brit's with very good results. what do you think about 18 grains in any of these 8 mm's?

Years back there was a group buy mould for a 190 gr 8mm bullet which I got. It casts an excellent bullet for the 8x57. I had a bunch of Turk pull down cases so I loaded the 190 gr cast bullet s (sized .325 and lubed with javelina) over 31 gr IMR4895 with a Dacron filler. I also was making my own GCs at the time and ran a simple comparison test out of my VZ 24/47 with a Leupold 6X scope on it. Given the old late '30s Turk cases with Berdan primers they did well. Your bullet should do well also. If the 2400 doesn't work out try 28 - 31 gr 4895 with the Dacron filler.

I'd slug the barrels, think the 8mm Lebel barrel was spec'd larger than the 8x57, similar to the 8x56 M95 .329 ish?

I have had good luck with 2400 in my Mauser 8mm's
I think the load was around 17 grains but it was no where near the max.
My loading data is packed away from a move , or I could be more specific.

I used 5744 with that bullet.I don't have the load data handy at the moment.I loaded the ammo up to function fire an M88 Commission rifle and some
Numrich en bloc clips I was reworking. The clips were unusable as received.I did get the clips to work.
