So, I took my dad to the range the other day and we were shooting my steel targets. My setup has a base and then 2x4s holding the plates.
My dad looks at me and says "I bet you can't hit the 2x4...". So... I have to shoot at it. I grab my RH in 44 mag with ONE 296 round. I fire a round and I see dirt kick up behind it and don't see a lot of splitered wood or the 2x4 blow up...
So I look at my dad and said, well guess I missed...
Little while later we go to get the targets and there is a .430 hole straight though the 2x4 with very little splintering on the exit hole - almost perfect through and through...
The alloy was WW : Lino at 5:1 ratio.
