Just picked up a Remington model 14. I noticed the dovetail that holds the magazine tube holder in place is worn and allowing the magazine holder to move as the action is cycled. The dovetail is blown out on one side. Not sure how to fix this

If by "blown out" you mean one of the female dovetail edges is raised or damaged, it might be able to be swedged (hammered) down almost to it's original position,

A BCS (beer can shim) under the male portion of the magazine hanger's dovetail will tighten it in place.

a 12 oz hanner and a 1/4" brass rod for peening.

If super loose.
Pull the part off the barrel , and put a layer of solder on the bottom of the piece.
Don't solder it back to the barrel.
The solder just builds up the thickness of the piece so it fits tighter when drifted back into the dovetail on the barrel.
Even building it up with Epoxy will work.
But it isn't as durable as low temperature solder

Do as justashooter said , hammer and brass rod to peen the edges back enough so you have to tap the male part back in .

This is a twist in type like a Winchester? A small hammer to the edges will tighten it up. See them sometimes where someone has tried to drive them out without twisting them, they wont hold afterwards.
