I have wondered about this as a project with deer season coming up here in Indiana. Something strong that would let you take the 454 up to its potential, and stainless with a laminated stock like the Knights. The 454 is the largest rifle cartridge you can use for deer here. Any thoughts?

Maybe in a lever?

I think Rossi has a lever available, I shooting my old MK 85 Knight the other day and was thinking about this. The 450 thread reminded me of it but I did not want to hijack the other thread.

Do the offer the Encore in 454? This might be a handy rifle to tote around if they make it!

They do in fact make a pistol version...I would imagine they do in a rifle too...even if it was through fox ridge. Personally I would go with Match Grade Machine, Bullberry, OTT or some other custom outfit....TC's straightwalled pistol cartidge chamber configurations have never impressed me much.

I don't know if you were thinking custom or not? How about buying a Ruger model 77 bolt rifle and having it rechambered to .454 Casull? I don't even know if that is possible.
