Federal primer sealent

I have a box of federal hi power 30-30 cartridges with red belt holders from the 70s or 80s Id guess. I bought them from the gunsmith. They look factory in all aspects except there is no primer sealent. When did federal start primer sealent and has it always been blue?

I have several boxes and they are the same time period, they have no sealant.

Elroy, do you have any recollection of the red or green as to caliber or age?

I really don't know,but probably not very old .I bought some 243 brass a few years back from Once fired brass.com,It was the first time I bought from them,and I remember some were sealed red,and some green,but I was probably wrong about the green.I looked at some fairly new Federal Non Typical ammo I bought this fall because Federal was offering rebates,and the sealant looks green to me,but when I shined a light on it is is in fact blue.
