Enjoy! My Ma had an old cast aluminum waffle maker that was "modern" (for the '30s). It had a cloth/fiber covered cord with a cracked Bakelite plug and missing two feet, was black from use, but she made some dandy waffles on it...

That looks like the right iron for Belgian waffles.

They're a hassle making the batter and letting it rise, but you end up with a doughnut that looks like a waffle.

Oh man, I love a good waffle. I inherited an old wafle iron with beautifully seasoned cast iron plates. I do admit to making a tasty buttermilk waffle.

Those in the pic look tasty.

Never developed a taste for them. Can't really make them in a Hunting/Fishing camp.
And you can do so much more with pancakes.
For some reason the Men in My Family just didn't care for them.
Maybe because neither Grandmother ever made them.

Yeah.. Waffles! The trouble with waffles is , for me, the price of maple syrup. Over at Meijers it is about $17 a plastic quart jug. The glass pints shaped like a maple leaf of the state of Michigan ( lower penninsula only ) are more than that.

Now I am craving some waffles. Thanks!!

Rendezvous Mountain, take alpine cable car to summit, get waffle. Not the best I ever had, but certainly this HIGHEST!

Detest those air entrained fluffy Belgian waffles. Waffles house style is what I prefer. My little waffle iron does a nice job with Krusteze mix.
