I only see two parts that might belong a Sharps in the green box. Bore diameter and number of grooves would help. Is there any legible stamping on the left side of the receiver?

.

You have an extremely rare 36" barreled Model 1859 Rifle (model), of which only 600 were ever made out of approximately 115,000 guns.

All were originally chambered for a .52 caliber paper cartridge, with an external primer, so that one appears to have been converted to centre-fire.

The serial number pegs it as a Sharps New Model 1859; the barrel length as a Rifle Model.

It would have had an iron patchbox on the buttstock, and a long wooden forend fastened to the barrel by 3 barrel bands.

While one in 10% original issue condition is worth about $3000USD, and one in 95% original issue condition $$9000USD - yours is a much less valuable "relic", worth much less than one in 10% original issue condition.

Looking at the condition of the outside of the barrel & receiver, it's no wonder that the bore is missing it's rifling - BUT, a barrel that has what appears to be a smoothbore may actually just have rifling filled with lead.
