What is the widest meplat bullet you have gotten to feed and cycle reliably in your 9mm semi autos? I'm loading for a S&W shield 9mm

I'm not a big 9mm guy, but I've talked to guys using a RCBS 147 that they like real well.

If I remember correctly, in the 80's the 147 was also designed for being suppressed for use by the SEALs.

Im running the LEE 358-125rf. With good accuracy and 0 failures.

Arsenal mold design 358-135 Ranch Dog Clone has a metplat of .28" this is a tumble lube design They are advertising its a "fantastic" 9mm boolit. It looks like it too.

Have any jword hollow-points that function well? Measure them.

I use an NOE 358-135-RF that has a .201 meplat with no issues in anything so far. I run it in two different 1911 pistols, a Beretta 92fs, and a Springfield XDm.
It has a stepped design that makes it easy to load and feed in anything even if the lands come right to the front of the chamber. In a rifle, it would be called a bore rider.

I have the same mold as the tazman and I think it is the widest meplat of any 9/mm boolit I have used. It works just fine in my Sig P6, which has a very short throat, as well as my Firestar, 3 S&W’s, Luger and Kahr.

Using the NOE 135 RF in a CZ scorpion carbine and five pistols......Browning HP, Sig 320, Kahr CM-9, Beretta Nano and XD M-2 compact.

None of which have been throated.

Take a good look at the LBT 358-140-FN, widest nose I’ve seen, runs in a P226 with no problems
