I am leaning towards either an Accurate 45-300KG, 45-270L or the 45 -330B, May get it gas checked but I want a swc. These will be used in a 454 Casull SRH 7 1/2” and I am want to get about 1400-1500 FPS out of them. If anyone has any experience with something similar I would love to hear what powder gave you the best accuracy at those velocities I usually use H110 and Hs6 for most of my needs but am open to any.
I forgot to mention that I pc the bullets also.

I don't cast any SWC style bullet, so I can't help there. However I do cast LFN style bullets and use them exclusively for all of my revolvers. In my 454, I use an Accurate Molds 300 grain LFNGC style (I believe it is the 300E) and it has shot excellent out of it. Matter of fact, that bullet has shot good out of every 45 caliber revolver I've put it in. Got to watch OAL as it has a long nose.

I haven't chronoed it in the 454, but I've pushed them pretty hard and accuracy was still very good. I PC all of my cast bullets and this bullet having a GC, my barrel remains very clean.

I use both H110 and HS6 and love them both, but H110 is what you'll use to see the velocity you are seeking. Which is a more accurate powder? Neither, or both. Medium loads, HS6 would be my favorite bar none. Rocks and dynamite loads (borrowed that), H110 is king.

When I load to velocities over 1300 fps., I normally use a gas check. However, I've recently been using the RCBS 270 SAA boolit and powder coating. I've had good results and no leading at 1400 fps.

I will admit I really liked it with 240 xtp mag bullets at a little better than 1800. Does anyone push a 270 saa to 1700 or do and get accuracy with it?

in my SRH 44 "not 454" whenever I shoot PC'd boolits with a normal lube grove, the lube grove obturates out flat when fired so id opt for tumble lube groves, it gets rid of that problem and powder sticks to it better anyway. and you can still tumble lube or maybe even regular lube if you cant PC for some reason. hard to say if it will need gas checks for accuracy when PC'd. but either way you can order changes to accurate molds in the comment box so your not stuck with how one is on the catalog

I doubt that that velocity can be attained with that boolit in a revolver length barrel. My mould drops these at 285 grains with an alloy of 75/25 wheelweights to linotype.

Well i just run a SWC out of smaller caliber guns mainly 40S&W but in my 454 I run a RCBS 45-300-FN sized down and powder coated, gas-checked. I also use this same bullet in my 450 Bushmaster in a AR platform pushing over 1600fps. I use H110 in both guns.
