What powder is this??
This is a 50/50 mix of gloss black and white <(this gives the lighter shade of grey, the darker shade is when I added about 1/3'rd tablespoon more gloss black) and the speckled look makes them look a little like 'Old Lead', I am not sure they are both Sherwin Williams but the PC Painting Contractor I buy it from said it was...he goes into his warehouse and comes back with a gallon baggie with a pound in it. Once I saw into the back room where some of his powders were stored in 50 pound boxes & most everything I saw was SW brand...but, hmmmmm...there were other brands as well.
I can't explain this speckled look...most of the time when you blend PC colors together you get an even blend of a new color or hue of the original...I suspect that it is from the PC being made from one of the 3 different types available & that might cause the speckling.
Another member here sells PC and has a formulae of his powders that has a similar effect when mixed...contact 'Conditor22', a different look but unique also...

If you were to PM a friend of mine named 'Dragonheart', a member here that seems to know more about PC than anyone else, I think he may have the answer to that?

Here I'm trying these new poly beads that joe leadslinger a member here found to be very helpful in creating static...I noticed that the cast coated very thick to the point of looking fuzzy and these smaller beads tended to help stop the little nicks the casts put on each other as I swirl the tub.
When this picture was taken the temperature was 65ºƒ & the humidity was 69%, it had rained several days before.
https://i.imgur.com/2VOr3rB.jpg
I noticed a post over in TheReloadersNetwork.com where one of the fellas pointed out that these small poly beads will get stuck in the HP cavities of his casts and he had to tap the cast to get them to fall out...that's the only drawback I can see with these poly beads thus far.
After dumping onto the cookie sheet, I'll grab one end of the sheet and push/pull it back and forth a few times and the casts will try to roll out parallel to each other & as they do that they are rolling in the excess PC on the tray and that tends to re-coat any nicks on the cast that they sustained during the swirling process...I can then pick with the tweezers all the cast facing in the correct position and very quickly tap them to knock off excess PC and place them on the cooking sheet...when I have all the right facing ones picked, I turn the tray 180º and go after the remaining cast...done deal & off to the oven I go.
https://i.imgur.com/m4HB8Tg.jpg
When I dump the tub onto the cookie sheet so I can tweezer them out & tap them so excess PC falls off, I noticed that the little poly beads don't get in the way like the larger Airsoft BB's used to do.
Yes...I tweezer them and stand them on the baking tray...some of the fellas are having convulsions at hearing the words 'tweezer & stand the casts' but if you want the most even coverage and a minimum of imperfections you need to stand them.

Really nice looking boolits, almost like they were machined.
Man, you would really burn through the lead casting those.
That's why you need lots of these. 35 gallon cans full of old roofing jacks. I had a roofing friend collect them from all his jobs for 5 years. Tons of pure lead.
