In one sentence Jesus is able to present God as a Shepard, Father and King:

"Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:32

Guess I'm a bit slow; what is your point?

A better question is: What was Jesus' point?

I see nothing ambiguous in the Jesus statement you quote but it appears you do. If you believe Jesus is wrong why not say what you think is right?

With all due respect, I'm not going to guess what you may think and doubt anyone else will either so why not just say what you think or are you just another troll blowing smoke from one end or the other. ??

First, I never said there was anything ambiguous about Jesus' statement or that he was wrong. How you arrived at this conclusion baffles me.

Second, why anyone on this forum would think I was a troll, especially in this section, is beyond me. Obviously you have not read any of my posts.

I made the original post because I thought it was interesting that Jesus summed up every biblical depiction of God in one concise statement and it can be easily missed when casually reading. Beyond that, I have nothing to say although much could be written and the phrase could power many sermons.

That's better, I agree.

Trolls do what trolls do and open ended ambiguity is one of their most common baits.
