Bagged this one at daylight today. It was about a 150yrd shot using my CVA Scout in 300 Blk. Converted 5.56 LC headstamp w/15.5 gn 296. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191130/3fb8c6cc754237d9de83b1d9b86ed7f6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191130/d04deee8adc4423cebd40df354e37ad5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191130/1f8282ff3bea80389aa8e28ad63f64b6.jpg

Well, the rounds look fantastic, the weapon most admirable, and the game is a dandy. Good job, I know your family will enjoy your efforts. I am curious as to whether you chronographed that load, I would be curious to see the energy numbers at 150 yards. Were you able to recover the boolit or was it a pass-through? DRT or did he go a ways before he dropped? No matter the details, the important details is your successful hunt.

I brought ladder loads to test groups which I did Thursday. 5 rds each at 15.5gn 16gn, 16.5, 17gn 296. At 100 yrds shooting at a 2 inch dot, the first load (15.5gn 296) 3 shots fired into 1.5inches group inch high inch high from where I was aiming. It was getting dark so I stopped shooting. As far as velocity, I need to use the LabRadar to see what they are running at. Two shots. He was around 200 yrds when I took the first shot. He jumped so I know it was a hit. He ran around 50 yrds towards me stopped. I shot again aiming a little above the front shoulder he dropped DRT. Walked up to him. I saw two holes. One was midsection, below the spine. The other was in the boiler plate.
