With all of the talk of the run up in cost of firearms related products, I made a comment on another forum that if anybody at our local gunshow had the S&W 638 Airweights at their pre-election prices, I would pick one up. They had been running them at $389 the previous 2 shows. Decent price.
The show was elbows to arseholes. The rumor tales are justifiable. The crowd was about 3 times the norm. The NRA signup table had folks standing in line to join. Never saw that before.
I walk in to the show, front and center, squared, there are the 638's staring me in the face, $389. But, there was a lil icing this time, a $30 S&W rebate on top of the price. :mrgreen:
