I知 floating this as a random idea asked by a friend. Would anyone have interest in a mold to cast lead copies of the LEGO head for loading in 9mm? Fun idea if powder coated in yellow is the idea.

I started a similar idea earlier as well. I'm in, for either 9 or 40. Would be cool to be able to keep the double sided ability, but that will probably be difficult to do. Maybe have half the cavities be the hollow point "side" and the other half the solid, that way you can still have a flat/bevel base, but two cavities in one mould I'm sure would be expensive

The double end could be maintained mould would cast hollow point down on the pin and pour on the "solid" end. shouldn't be a problem. I think I would remove the snap together steps though

Would it have potential for a multiple projectile load?

I would be in for 9MM and .40.

Next question, does anyone interested have the skill set to lay out the dimensional drawing? I, sadly, do not but if someone can point me in the right direction I知 not opposed to learning.

LOL - Stu, I've got the SW to draw up the profile, but I dont have any lego's to measure... This weekend I'll be out at HGC, if we can connect, you could hand me one for mic'ing?

I think I'd have to have one of these if it makes it to the group buy!

Might be a good boolit! Pretty much a wadcutter!

I believe I have some dimensional drawings for the head. If I had a head to measure I could measure it myself, I'll look.

marking thread in case it gets serious, I would be in for one just for the heck of it.

Lakehouse is working on a design for us on this one. I was able to find dimensional drawings and miced one of my sons LEGO heads to verify. More to come so stay tuned.

Yeah sorry, this one kinda fell apart due to too little interest. I had a buddy working on a possible option for a cheap prototype mold so we could try it out but never ended up being feasible.

If someone else has the connections/skills/time to pick it up please do as I do not.

I壇 probably still be in for a mold if they came to fruition.

I've got a thread here for one that I tried to get going, but it died as well. Maybe the 10 million people who watch demo ranch will help this get going.

If you search Lego in the discussions section, mine is the other one
