Vintage 1960's and very accurate
First use ...
Needed a box of 38-72 reloads
* Poured IMR 4198 (stick powder) into the the tube (bought because it was missing)
* Calibrated a 27.0gr powder drop
* Started cranking ... all drops were either 27.00 - 27.08 or 27.1x or 27.2x
Am totally impressed with 'the old Herters M65 especially with stick powders
On eBay, the prices for this old mold, sold new, are under $50. I bought 2 to add to my collection of chargers

Looks like you have the flip-over bottle device. Another useful Herter's invention.
Another "trick" you could try is swaping the entire tube assemble for a Belding and Mull drop tube. My first Herter's measure is converted to B&M and works very well.

Both molds have the 'flip-over bottle device' and were without a drop tube
So I ordered a clear tube with a 2" OD that fits in the charger cavityfor both molds
Now for ? ... what purpose and how does the 'flip-over bottle device' work? Interesting but I can't figure out it's purpose

Internet has all the answers - found this picture:
Screw a Herters powder bottle into the 'flip-over bottle device' with powder and your good to go

Pressman, I tried the MEC bottle on the Herters. The neck size of the bottles are the same but the threads on the MEC are different - ergo, a no go

Hmm, I have both and they fit well. They do go on hard, that stamped thread is far from perfect.
