I have a RB in 8mm Danish Craig and the bore is in poor shape. I have tried several 8 mm loads and have not had much luck in getting it to shoot. I had a thought a couple of days ago about doing a rebore to it to clean up the bore. My first thought was to do something like a 35 Danish Craig- that is rebore the barrel to 358, leave the chamber alone and open up the loading dies. Early on in the reforming brass process, I tried refoming some 348 brass to 8mm DC. It was just too much for the presses I had - just too much metal to move since it appears to be larger than the 8mm DC. My current thought is just to rebore to 348 Win, but I have no idea what presures this round is loaded to with factory ammo.

After all that the question is- is a Swedish RB strong enough to handle factory loaded 348 win ammo?

The danish krag is easyest made from 7,62X45R cases, anneal them below the middle of the case and let them aircool.

Buy a 4D dieset in 8x58RD load it up wit a lead bullet an bp or smokeless.
I use 8mm mauser bullets for this caliber and have fireformed many cases this way.
