I also have a large quantity of 700X. That is some seriously useful stuff! Shouldn't have any problem with it in 20 gauge, but I've been shooting a lot of it in various hand gun and cast rifle loads, almost as versatile as Unique.

For safe pressures you are pretty much limited to straight walled Federal 20 ga. hulls.

Federal hulls are the very Best for real hunting loads.

AA Hull, RXP wad ( I have been using a AA wad) 13 grs. 700X and 7/8 oz., rem. 209P primer and pressure close to max. at 11800 but I have loaded a bunch of 20 gauge target rounds for cowboy action. 700 X is my 12 gauge target powder, 44 and 45 cowboy action powder and 45 acp powder for sub machineguns. I use easily 6-7 lbs. a year. This is from a 5/2002 IMR reloaders booklet.

AA Hull, RXP wad (
Yes, I think that' the only wad combo that works in tapered wall cases and stays in SAMMI specs. Your AA wad probably goes over the max safe pressure by a bit but it's nothing I personally would worry about.
