I know this is not for Cast.
But I need load data for the Barnes TSX FN, Barnes #30630
with H4198 For my 1895 Marlin.
Does anyone have this manual that could share the data?

Not the #3 manual, but here from their page, & below is their link to the page for the loads they offer at the Source below.:

*Recommend crimping case mouth into front cannelure groove.

*This data is intended for use only in modern, Marlin 1895 rifles in good condition. Do not use this data in Springfield Trapdoor rifles.

I am sure there are more out there. I just brought these above to see if they help at all.

Hope that someone with the #3 Barnes manual can help you further.

Thanks JBinMN,

Hylander, you may have to call or email Barnes and request that infro from them. I needed infro for the Barnes 300 gr. 45/70 Marlin and their latest manual, that I bought, only listed powders I did not have. I wanted load data for IMR-4198 with their 300 gr. HP. One of their tects sent me a email with load data infro I was seeking using IMR-4198 and several other powders.

Hylander, I went out to the shop and checked that load data that Barnes sent me and it gave load data for the Barnes 250 gr. XFN bullet and H-4198 powder.

H-4198 powder 250 Gr. XFN Marlin 1895 data.

Min. 49 GR. velocity-2018 fps

Max. 53 GR. velocity-2183 fps

It also gave a ballistic drop table for the 250 gr. Barnes bullet.

100 yard sight in. 200 yards 250 yards
+ 2.41 -6.35 drop -17.66 drop

Thanks,
I sent an email, I'm sure it will be next week before I hear back.
No worries as I am waiting for my new Leupold VX 3I 2.5-8X36 to arrive.

Sure Hylander, I understand.
:)

Anyway, I killed a half hour since I could not sleep anyway, and I like to do such things so it was good for me as well.
BTW, Here is what looks like a pretty decent resource for some load info:

https://shootersreference.com/reloadingdata/182/

It has a lot of loads for 45-70 Gvnt there, including the Barnes 300 TSX FN ,with some cast loads there as well, plus other calibers if one wants to look around.

G'Luck! on finding what ya seek!
:)

Hylander, I re-read your posts and realize that you requested information for the 300 Gr. XFN Barnes bullet and not the 250 gr. as I posted. Here is the information you wanted for that bullet and using H4198 powder.

Barnes 300 gr. XFN H4198 powder

Min. 45.0 gr. Velocity-1852 fps Max. 49.0 gr. Velocity-2017 fps.

This was taken from the information email that Barnes sent to me after I requested information on powders not listed in the manual I have.
