If you are a fan of British service rifles, I think I found a site for you. At least it's new to me. Called Enfield-Rifles.com. Seems to have a great deal of info and cast bullet and jacketed ammo info. Just found it this morning and broused for about an hour.If you have seen it ok. But some members may have not so if your curious take a look. Frank

Now, if we could get 'surplusrifle.com' back up and running, that would be GREAT!!.

Good site , I joined and discovered the 1942 No.4 MKI I have was made by BSA , Birmingham Small Arms and is one of the nicer made ones . The barrel wasn't oversized but measured a perfect .311", just right for .312 cast boolits . The rifle looks as though it was used very little .
I bought it back in the 1960's and never got around to sporterizing it...still sits in all it's military glory.
Procrastination paid off this time... I bubbarized many a good military rifle back in the day.
If you have a Lee - Enfield that's a good place to check out .

Actually have 2. #4MKII made in '49 and what I believe is a bottom grade Parker Hale sporter made up out of a 1942 #4MKI*. Barrel cut back to 22", forestock cut down and issue rear sight and sporting front sight that takes the standard front sight blades of the #4 series of rifles. Frank
