I would like to shoot the same load from my S&W 629 and 629 Classic as I do my Marlin 1894 in .44 Mag. Which is the Lee 310 Gr GC with 18.5GR of W-296. Will this load kill my S&W? As I do like my Smith :)

I am also going to work up a load with the Ranch Dog 265 GR GC.

Thank You all in advance. :drinks::castmine:

Try 22 gr's with the RD. Use a standard primer.

Have been using 20grs h110 (cci 350) for some time, no ill effects other than great accuracy with my 629. This is my everyday all around load.
Same load with my 1894 with great results.
Not very pleasent through a 329pd though....

329pd, S&W 44mag that weights 26oz. Scandium frame, titanium cylinder.
Nice shooting pistol, just no fun with the 310gr loads.

Oh that one lol. I looked at one and thought I would not wish to shoot a full house load in that thing lol.

I have a Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 special and that is not fun to shoot lol. I call that my last ditch shot lol.

Oh crap! No fun with anything. 180 gr bullet at 800 fps for carry!

I still use the 240Gr SWC lol. Since I do not have anything lighter than that just more heavy lol.with 4.5Gr of TightGroup in the .44 special just a tad over 800FPS. But 4.OGr does good as well with about 750FPS. :)
