I bought out a hand loader and got a brand new set of R.C.B.S. .40/60 Marlin dies. Can anybody tell me anything about that caliber ?.

It is the same as the the 40 65 winchester. The 1881 marlin had the 40 60 marlin and the 1886 winchester had the 40 65 winchester. They are both loaded with the same dies. The 40 60 winchester is not the same.

Not quite the same as the .40-65 Winchester, but very close. The .40-65 uses a bullet that runs around .406"=.408", while the Marlins usually run .003"-.004" smaller. The original .40-60 M also used small primers, where the Win. always used large primers.
You can reload using .40-65 dies, but may find neck expanders to be a bit loose on a Marlin .40-60.

I am wanting to use them to reload .40/65 Win. , Should I replace the expander ball, or let it go ?.

Have you pulled the expander and checked the size yet? Compare it to the bullet size for your .40-65 and then you'll know if it needs to be changed.
