I'm just starting to use a Lee Factory Crimp Die with the 44 Magnum. The crimp it produces looks quite a bit different than the one produced by an RCBS roll-crimp die. Have any cast bullets been designed with a crimp groove meant to work with this die or am I overthinking it?
thanks,
Okie John

I use the LEE factory crimp die for .38s, .357s, and .45 Colts. I also use the LEE bullet molds. I have no problems with any of those.

Some folks think the ring that does the crimp is to wide and crimps the bullet as well as the case. They modify this ring to narrow it.
I don't have any links to these threads. You might Goggle it.
I think Lee made the ring so wide is so case length wouldn't be as critical.
I don't see this as a problem.
