Is there really a big difference between the Lyman Small and Large handles? What happens if i use small handles on a double mold?

If you're looking at the older handles, the "small" ones will spread awkwardly wide (unless you have BIG hands) with"large" blocks; and with the "large" ones on "small" blocks the wood handles may touch before the blocks are fully closed. The "jaws" on either size may need to be filed on a little to let the blocks close fully, even with the "right" size.

If you do not mind using a drill on you small size blocks you can drill new pin holes farther out on the end to accomidate your Large size molds. Used Small handles have no collector value so my "old farm policy" is ADAPT what-cha-got. A new set of large handles will not produce a better boolit... use the saved money to feed the family or buy something you really need... another mold !
