The man cave was moved back into the horse stall in the barn (not used as a horse stall in 100 years!) because my SO moved her massage practice to the home.
The former man cave was remodeled (very nice work) and the new man cave will be insulated and tight. It has been rewired and is actually workable space until it gets too cold.
I FINALLY started casting again. I did 500 H&G #51's yesterday and will do another 500 tonight. Using a H&G 4 cavity #51 goes pretty quick. I want to get 2000 cast, then resized and lubed on a heated Star, then load 2000 38 specials w/ 4.0 gr WW231. That should last me for a while.
Next up are H&G # 503's 44 cal. I have an 8 cavity that I have not used yet. I can't wait! 44 special and light 44 mags.
I have to say it is good to be casting again.

Welcome back. I went over to a friends range today and found that after the hottest summer on record it had not been maintained. Some weeds higher than 7 ft. I was hoping to do the same as you and cast about 2000 and make them into rounds. Guess that will have to wait till i can see the target. Funny how pleasing shooting the ones you have made can be. Best wishes.

Have you worked out your new heat source yet it's going to get cold soon ?

Not yet. I think I will go with the wall mounted propane when the construction is all said and done. Looking at one unit from Tractor Supply thanks to the suggestions here.
It isn't too cold yet here in NH. I had the propane hurricane heater going and it was toasty in the horse stall. But then it was only 45 outside.
I have to say those #51's sure are pretty! Cast another 500 last night. 1000 unsized/lubed in the coffee can. I want to get to sizing/lubing on the Star but I will get 2000 done before I start that.
Next up - #503 44's. 8 cavity H&G. I bet THAT empties a pot in a hurry. :)
Back in the saddle again! :)

Man, that is an understatement!....as you know.
I bought a flat new 8 cavity #503 that I really can't wait to try out. I bet I can pump out a lot of bullets with that one!

Those 8 cavity H&G's are beast. I usually can only cast 2 pots worth before the shoulder gives out. And it is a pot drainer

I cannot do the casting in 4-6-8-10 cavity moulds without a mould guide. I have a 10 cavity H&G S55 that casts 380 bullets for the M11A1 subgun that empties a pot in short order.
BUT the mould guide is an absolute must. Makes the job tolerable and you don't develop Popeye arms!
